I love it!! Its very simple to use, perfect to keep track of your budget. You first establish your monthly budget, then enter the categories you want and then you enter your spendings and it calculates everything. Very simple, exactly what I wanted. For a dollar, its really worth it!!

This is exactly the kind of budget software I want to use to track basic expenses. Nothing convoluted, just basic "buckets". Granted, a spreadsheet can probably do similar tracking, but I enjoy using this and I like the iCloud integration (havent tested it yet however…). The one thing Id like to see is to be able to view pie charts of spending to get a visual of expenses each month. Basically the input/tracking is great Id just like to be able to see a little more "analysis" based on the numbers.

While I appreciate its simplicity, it has some serious flaws. There is no full screen option. Saving can be complicated as dates and items tend to jump around and you can be inadvertently saving to different months and years. I have a tendency to bank my receipts and put them in ad hoc. This proves tricky as it is not very intuitive and doesnt let you easily jump around between dates. You cant adjust the size of the font. There is no option for banking descriptions you use over and over. I tried this as an option to pen and paper accounting, but it is not proving to be easier or saving me time. The idea is good, but it has a long way to go to be a truly simple and seamless way of keeping track of your daily expenditures.

I wanted an App that allowed me track my expenses comparing what I spend to my budget, and this App does exactly that! The first thing you do is set up your monthly budget, and once that is done, you just enter your expenses. It is very simple, and even gives you a graph to look at your monthly spending so you can compare months, and see your spending habits. One thing I would like to see would be an option to re-arrange the order of your expenses, because I entered the list for my monthly budget not in the order that I want, and in order to change that it seems I have to delete everything above it to move it into the spot I wanted. But since that is my only complaint, I rate this App 5 stars. For $1.99 you honestly cant go wrong (if you are looking for a basic App to track your expenses)

I purchased simplibudget because it received good reviews on blogs and it looked like it had all the features I wanted at a good price. Much to my dismay, after purchasing it, i found that it would actually not import qfx/ofx files provided by my bank, and so I sent support an email regarding the matter. In less than an hour, I received an email from Stephen, the developer, personally attending to my bug. I was able to send him a copy of my file, he found the issue, fixed it, and sent me an updated copy of the app, and now it works. Now THATs customer service. Im glad I purchased simplibudget just for that reason alone. It helps that it also does everything I need as a basic budget management/tracking application, with a simple interface and no-nonsense design. It took me a bit of messing around to get used to the category budgeting system and how it works with the transactions, but once it clicked it actually makes perfect sense, and I really like it. It makes it so that I have to think in terms of a budget, rather than just simple expense tracking, and thats great, but it also does expense tracking well. I like the app, well worth the price.

I was not expecting much for the price, but big surprise it do the job and there is no big learning curve. I highly recommend SimpluBudget, if you want to keep it simple. I had a small bug to import my file from my bank and within 24 hours Stephen had send me a version that work. Michel

The interface is clean and easy to learn, but… -I was unable to load downloaded bank records (ofx, etc) -Nothing is printable. Generally, the app is glitchy with no guidance on how to make things work properly

Great budgeting and transaction features. I have tried several similar aps and this is one of the best. I also like the reporting features that can be broken down by category. Great developer, I encountered a small glitch using it on Mountian Lion and it was fixed Immediately. Handy charting although I would like to see percentages dislayed on the pie chart. I have not found a better program anywhere for the money. Five star rating.

I really like this app - been using it for awhile now. However, I do think it’s time for an update. I am having extreme difficulty syncing the data on my macbook with my phone. In fact, no data shows up on my phone so I am using only the Mac version. The website/help page is stagnant and does not offer useful information. I am currently researching and looking to purchase other apps but would prefer to see this app updated. Thanks.

Ive looked for a simple budgeting app for awhile and finally found one! Simplibudget doesnt have all the bells and whistles but its enough for me to track my money. I havent had any problems with using the app but when I got started I did have a question and the customer service was great.

This app is easy to use and simple to navigate. Entering all the data is a bit more timeconsuming than Id like, but I am not sure there is any way around that really.

The software doensnt allow more than one account. It is useless.

The application is very user friendly and simple to learn. It would be nice if the transaction tab also included a monthly filter as the budget tab does. In fact, being able to filter your transactions with custom dates would also prove intuitive.

I think the price is fantastic. I just wish that the software were a little more user friendly and maybe it could be with a few simple fixes. There needs to be a shortcut for the add transaction button. I dont like to to have to touch the mouse at all when I am in transaction entry mode. Just give me a shortcut key. Please put a warning and asking me if Im sure I want to delete on the remove transaction button so when I click on it by accident it doesnt take me 5 minutes to figure out what I accidentally deleted. The transaction entry screen could be more user friendly if you didnt have to type out the full date with year with the slashes to be recognized. How about just month and year and forget the necessity for the slashes. It should be able to pick up and reformat. I havent figured out how to enter a credit to a spending account yet. It wont let me put in a negative number for a spending account and it wont let me change the transaction type. So how exactly should a return or credit be recorded? I like the idea that it can be synced across all devices, that is why I purchased the app. Functionality requires a little tweaking before I will really be able to use this as needed.

This app is deceptively great and has become one of my most essential apps. It doesnt look like much at first but, when it comes to tracking my spending and figuring out how much I can afford to spend on things, its amazing. I love the fact its easy to use yet Ive been able to adapt how I use it to fit my lifestyle (and I have it on my iPhone too so I can update it with purchases when Im out and about). It doesnt look like much and its got nothing fancy about it but its really useful!

This app continues to make my life easier! I love the consistent updates which make things easier to use. I had a little trouble importing one of my bank files with the old version but this has been fixed now and it makes the app soooo much more useful for me. Much easier that typing out individual expenses. Im thinking about tax time, so printing out reports of my spending history is very useful.

Ive already said Ive loved the new look and the clean (and even fun-to-use interface, for a budgeting app). The additional features that keep getting added along with the great customer support make this app completely worth the money! It will be the best app you have budgeted for!

Ive been using SimpliBudget for several months to help manage my budget, since I am on a fixed income. I wanted a simple and affordable program that would help me keep track of where my money was going and to help me see how much I could spend in different categories, like Eating Out, at different times during the month. I dont have stocks or complicated financial matters that I need to keep track of. I just need to watch my money and make sure I dont overspend. SimpliBudget is great for helping me achieve that goal. Thanks for such a great program! Update: Ive been using this program for awhile now to help track my spending. I just downloaded the new version and find it even easier to use and I like the new look. It makes it even simpler and easier for me to keep on top of my budget. Update2: I dont know why my old reviews dont seem to show up. I keep trying to review the updates, which are great, and this one is no exception. I am just getting the hang of importing bank files which saves on typing individual expenses. This app consistently continues to help me immensely.

I use my iPhone and iPad versions of Simplibudget a lot, but the mainstay is the desktop app. I find it very easy to use, and the clean interface makes it fun to use. The new updates keep adding to the value of this app. It is well worth the price.

This is the single most useful app on the App Store hands down! I have to admit I didnt expect as much when I bought it, because it doesnt look like much (no fancy graphics etc.), but it quickly helped me figure out my finances and I really appreciate how I can sync with the iPhone version. The three basic category types and ability to define my own categories let me tailor the app to my needs. SimpliBudget has everything I need without all the bells and whistles.
