This simple app is perfect for my needs - tracking my income and spending each month. Ive tried some of the free apps but didnt really find them that useful - this was $1.99 well spent!

I was not happy with this app initially because it didnt look like I could get totals by category. Apparently I missed the "Filter by" drop down in the bottom left corner which allows the user to select categories for running totals. A report feature would have been nice, but I think for the price, this app has lots of functionality, is extremely easy to use, and provides the basics for home finance management and pre-tax prep. I would suggest the pie charts add percentages and total values, as well as provide the user to input a time span to be charted, rather than just charting the last month selected. I think the apps designer is obviously really concientious and will continue to make improvements to a very worthwhile application.

This is my new favorite app for the following reasons: (1) its simple without being too simple - there are a bunch of neat features under the hood, (2) its got some nice graphics that help me visualize my income and spending, and (3) it keeps getting updated. I especially love the new design!

This program is terrible. It is very buggy and does not handle recurring transactions well at all. I just input my monthly payments (i.e. rent, car payments, insurance) and set them up as recurring. Only rent carried over to the other months and I kept having to enter in more for the other months. The category system they use is not based on accurate accounting principles. A payment should be considered a credit and income should be debit, but they have this reversed. Also, when you import transactions from your online banking it throws off the entire budget. Lastly, and this is a big one, if you create a recurring payment/income and it actually appears, if you want to delete it you must delete each individual entry. For ever. Or start over fresh. Bad programming and planning. They need to address these issues soon and I am hoping to get my money back, since this was a waste.

I love the new enhancements in Version 3! Ive been using SimpliBudget for just over a year to track my finances and its become an essential piece of software in that time. I rely on it now as Ive really found it to be far more useful than my online bank summaries and the Excel spreadsheet I was keeping previously. Keep up the good work SimpliBudget!

I dont earn a lot of money so its important for me to be careful about my spending. I appreciate that this app isnt expensive, and that it has all the basic features I need to budget my limited income.

Excellent value. Has everything I need to track my finances without unnecessary distractions. I would recommend this app to anyone who wants to be more conscious of their finances.

Concept for this app is good, however, execution still has a long way to go. When used with the companion iPad app strange things happen. Recurring transactions disappear, functionality on the Mac version differs from iPad version. Annoying file open window on start-up. Window resizing and placement. Ill stop here. Ill keep this on my watch list, but not a practical option for daily use right now.

This app has really helped me take control of my finances. Ive been using my online bank website for this for a while, which was OK, but SimpliBudget is far better for really giving me control of my budget. I can create my own categories, decide what goes where, and track my spending better than ever. My bank never gave me this sort of flexibility which is great value for $1.99!

Ive been using Simplibudget for close to two years now, and its been a great reliable program. Its basic, but for what you pay into this program, you get a lot out of it. Ive tried other costlier budget programs, but Ive preferred this one over the others due to the ease of learning the program. I use this program for my monthly budgeting and Ive had no issues whatsoever in crashes or lost information. I use an older iMac computer that runs the 10.6.8 Snow Leopard operating system, and there was instance where the Simplibudget application was updated and it no longer would work for me. I emailed the developer of Simplibudget and explained to him my issue, and he seriously provided an update that same evening that solved my problem completely! I was so blown away by that customer service I decided to leave a 5 star review of the program. In addition to great program support, great customer service, and a great program, paying this low price for the program is practically a no brainer. I hope this review helps anyone that is on the fence in shopping for a basic and low cost budget program!

Everytime I think they added something good to this app they prove me wrong. New update and the app wont even open anymore.

Not worth .99 cents. Not simple to use. Categories cannot be moved. The amounts change each month, not good if you want one simple monthly budget. The projected and actual amounts are a waste of time for a simple budget.

Ive been using this app for almost 2 years and its become an indepensible tool that I use on an almost daily basis. I really appreciate some of the improvements in the last few versions too.

If you are looking for something to help you with your monthly bills to simply get an over view of them this is not the program for you. I feel this app is so basic that its not of any use what so ever. You are better off creating a simply spread sheet and entering in all the info yourself.

Unlike a lot of apps I buy, which I play with a bit then end up not using much, I find that I use SimpliBudget on an almost daily basis. Thats because its a really useful for tracking my money. While deceptively simple, it actually has a bunch of neat little features that Ive found myself appreciating more and more, such as the handy chart on the budget tab, and the ability to schedule transactions. There are a few more features that would be nice, it would be good to be able to export data into Excel for example, it seems that the developer does keep pushing out new features on a regular basis.

I bought SimpliBudget on a whim, not expecting a whole lot for $1.99, but Ive been really surprised how great this little app is! Id recommend it to anyone. Its simple, thats true, but it has what I need.

Compared to a certain big name finance app, I actually prefer SimpliBudget. Its so easy to learn and use! Most importantly of all, the customer service is top notch - I got a response directly from the developer of the app within a few hours!

Very simple account balance program and you cant really beat it for the price. IF it had a yearly summary for my taxes, Id give it 5 stars instead of 4.

SimpliBudget really is an awesome budgeting app. Its helped me get to feeling in control of my money and figure out my spending. I was up and getting going in no time and yet I keep finding new things about the app to appreciate.

I used to use a spreadsheet to track my finances but SimpliBudget is far easier to use and has helped me get a much better perspective of my spending than I had before. I dont have much money to work with but with SimpliBudget I feel like I can make it go further.
